I Have a Thing for Doors

Doors.

Some say they are the entryway to one's room.

Actually, I think most would agree on the above definition. I was going wax poetic and call them the entryway to one's soul, but I think I'd lose more than a few of you. Instead, I'll just say I've had a thing for them lately. Doors, that is.

I have made an effort to walk more lately (fitbit goals, and all), and I have found myself taking notice of the details in the old doors around my neighborhood. I am pretty lucky to live near so many old Victorian homes and charming buildings. A door with character sets the stage for the rest of the space. Even if you can't acquire an old door like the one above, you can still make an impact with paint:
